About the event
This POWER SUITE Negotiation taster introduces women to the power of a feminist approach to negotiation. Together, we explore strategies, skills and the meaning of sisterhood to help women reframe negotiation as a tool to build equity in male dominated fields.
This short interactive session is for women who want to advocate more effectively for themselves and others. It sets out to question gender dynamics to lead to better collaboration environments, performance and outcomes based on the following core principles:
Negotiation is NOT gender neutral
Negotiation is a powerful decision-making process we use day in day out, so why do we often think of it in narrow or conflictual terms? Gender and power relations impact on our experience, perceptions and interactions. They influence whether and how we negotiate with others access to opportunities and resources, impacting on our abilities, potential and ultimately our results and outcomes.
